With one team from start to finish, we handle every stage, from the initial site visit and concept design through to construction, planting and ongoing monitoring, so you never have to manage the gap between what was designed and what gets built.

Greenwild are a husband and wife team who design and build, which means nothing gets lost in translation. Our shared background in organic agriculture and conservation inspires and shapes our designs with planting that works with your garden’s natural conditions, supports local wildlife and grows more beautiful each year. All built to a standard that holds.
The Garden Design Process
Every project starts with a conversation, ideally in person, giving you a chance to get to know us and make sure we’re a good fit.
01 Concept Design
A thorough site visit and topological survey leads to a concept design that captures the character, structure and atmosphere of your garden and how you want to enjoy it, making sure the vision is truly yours.
02 Developed Design
Based on your feedback, we refine your layout, specify materials and features and work through the details collaboratively with you before anything moves forward.
03 TEchnical Design
Your design is translated into a master plan including precise drawings and specifications; levels, drainage, construction details, giving our team everything they need to build it accurately.
04 Planting Plan
Drawing on our deep horticultural knowledge, we create a planting scheme that’s beautiful in every season and right for the specific conditions of your garden.
05 Garden Design & Landscape
Our skilled team manages every stage of construction working closely with the designs to ensure your finished garden stays true to its intent. This is very much a team effort.
06 Ongoing Monitoring
As well as providing a detailed maintenance schedule, we’ll also visit your garden every season for the first year, ensuring it gets the care it needs as it settles and grows.
How else we can help
Garden planting plans
If your garden’s structure is already in place but the planting needs rethinking, we can work with you on a standalone planting plan - a considered, site-specific scheme that brings natural beauty and interest from one season to the next.
Continuous garden monitoring
If you have a Greenwild garden, we offer continued seasonal monitoring visits beyond the first year to keep a trained eye on how your planting is developing and offering guidance as it matures.

Greenwild is a complete design and build studio which means we work as one team throughout - we don’t offer a standalone design service. Working with us you won’t need to brief a separate contractor, manage a handover or wonder whether the person building your garden has understood the design. That continuity is one of things our clients value most.

Although some landscape firms offer a design service, their expertise is primarily build and construction. At Greenwild we believe in a design-first approach, using our in-depth planting knowledge and design eye to understand what will work best in your garden before deciding how we will construct it. In our experience this delivers a much more coherent and uplifting scheme.

It depends on the size and complexity of your project but you should expect the full process from initial consultation to completed build to take between nine and eighteen months. We’ll give you a realistic timeline at the outset and keep you informed throughout. Good gardens take time and we don’t rush them.

Our projects typically start at around £50,000 upwards for the build, with design fees calculated at a percentage of the expected construction cost. Every garden is different and we’re happy to have an early conversation about your space and what’s realistic for you before any commitment is made. We’d rather be upfront with you from the start.

Our garden design & build studio is based in Kent and we work across the South East of England, primarily in Kent and Sussex. Including Sevenoaks, Tunbridge Wells, Wadhurst and Cranbrook. If you’re outside these areas and would like to discuss your project, please do get in touch. We're happy to talk.

We work with gardens where there’s significant scope for a considered design and build project and where the potential of the space hasn’t been realised. This includes town gardens and new-build homes. If you’re unsure whether your garden is the right fit for a Greenwild project, the best thing to do is get in touch. A brief conversation will tell us both what’s possible.

Yes. If your garden’s structure is already established and you’d like help with the planting, we offer standalone planting plan commissions. Get in touch to discuss what you have in mind.

We don’t hand over the shears and move on. In the year following completion, we carry out four seasonal monitoring visits to check how your garden is establishing and to offer guidance on care. You’ll also receive a detailed maintenance schedule for you or your gardener to know exactly what your garden needs through each season. If you would like continued support beyond the first year, we offer ongoing visits - just ask us about this when we talk.
